Mouth not closing after talking
complete
OneVoltTen
After talking the mouth visemes don't always properly close, instead the mouth stays partly opened. I've encountered this issue for the last several months, please fix it!

I still see this happening. Other users says it is working correctly on their screens, but it's very annoying to have my mouth still be frozen open on my screen.

Tupper - VRChat Head of Community: How to reproduce: speak, mouth is stuck open. You really need that? really?

Now every time I talk I cant see my mouth moving but others say thay can. Did this fix cause this problem now?
Lightning Test
This now happens for me every time and now other people see it instead of just being in mirrors. Avatar loads in okay, after first speaking the visemes are all set to 0 so the mouth hangs open, when "sil" should be at 100.

Lightning Test: I see this on other people with their mouth getting stuck sometimes now too. Was only a local issue before, now seems to be a global issue.
ExDe707
Still happening occasionally, however the frequency of which this occurs is greatly reduced. On moments where I'd expect my mouth to get stuck open my blendshapes all instantly snap shut to zero.

Tupper - VRChat Head of Community: Can also confirm that this is still happening sometimes.
Lightning Test
Tupper - VRChat Head of Community: Now it happens every time. It's even in the patch notes that all visemes get set to 0 on speech completion, that seems to include "sil" for some reason, even if all keys are setup appropriately for VRC and eye tracking (also if they are not).
WACOMalt
Not sure if releated, but for me when I map ONLY the jawflap blendshape on an avatar, and the avatar doesnt have any blink blendshapes or anything else, The visemes just wont work at all locally, but everyone else says they see them. Rarely, if I've been in a world for a long time, and swap avatars a few times and go back to the broken one, it will work sometimes.

Confirmed as fixed in our latest internal 2019.2.5 builds.
Rak
Just to clarify for the devs. This issue does not affect your actual avatar, nor is it reproduced to other players. This issue only shows up in mirrors and in your camera. Your actual avatar's mouth does not get stuck.
ExDe707
Rak: Wait, really? How did you find out?
akalink
ExDe707: If you look at others you can see their jaw does not hang open when they speak into mirrors.
ExDe707
akalink: Well if it's them you're observing then you're not talking about your avatar that you are using like Rak said.
akalink
ExDe707: Yes I am

Hugo Zink
Not sure if this is true, I remember visemes still getting stuck locally outside of the mirror. You can test this by making the visemes affect your hands for example.
`Squishy
Hugo Zink: Another easy alternative would be to use holoport locomotion, and speak, or clip out of your body by walking through a wall. It seems a more reasonable assumption that the issue is simply local, rather than specific to cameras and mirrors.

this happens too often

HOLY CRAP I though I was the only one! Glad to see this is now getting more attention. Also now that I know it's only local I'll start losing the habit of tutting at the mic like `Squishy said.
