New worlds not appearing in new tab

It seems a old bug where new worlds are not appearing in the new tab has returned. Several people I know who just published worlds have this issue. This is incredibly frustrating as we spend weeks, months or more working on our worlds, and get zero visibility.

OP's original issue was solved a while ago

Same here, as I created the world ID back in August 2018 (to test the scale with friends back then), my world is not appearing in the new tab and instantly got buried in the Recently updated instead even though it was only made public Yesterday.
I feel like this issue will only be aggravated by the Community Labs system which means a world that stays too long in there could not get any visibility in New once it does get released.
Why not use the Published stat instead of the created stat?

This is kind of a two-parter: We're aware of a bug with the New row that means that the results you get back from the server don't make much sense. We're aware of this bug and are looking into it.
The second part is that we're aware that finding worlds and sorting them in ways you want isn't easily possible right now. This would require a revamp of the way that you search for/view worlds, which means a UI refresh. Its something we want to do, but will take a bit for us to get to.
I'm marking this in-progress specifically due to us actively taking a look at the New Worlds row issue.

New worlds lists are broken

The new worlds list is outright broken, it doesn't and hasn't shown new worlds for the longest time, it consistently and often shows old and broken worlds, all of which were not re-uploaded or updated by their creators.
The "Recently Updated" list has had the same worlds on it for three days straight, considering there are many more worlds updated everyday, i do not see how the same maps could sit there as if they are the only maps being updated.
Same goes for the "Avatar Worlds" list, same maps stay there for days before being replaced. But this might be because it seems like avatar worlds haven't been accepted for the past few days.
I've had personal and friends worlds show up at the front on multiple occasions despite those worlds not being updated, this is frustrating when users work hard on making and releasing content and it isn't even being given the time of day because the list refuses to show it.

Upvoting this because I understand the frustration. A friend of mine worked on his map for 6 months before releasing it but it didn't show in the new list at all and also got buried in the recently updated list (Which to some extent was somewhat working at the time not long ago).

VRChat2019.1.2 mentioned "Fixed some World rows that weren't showing up properly" in its patch notes. I hope it's not referring to this issue because if so, it's wrong. I looked today to see if my map was on the "new" list yet, and not only is it still not there, but a map I made public 8 months ago is now on the "new" list. What?

Can confirm this is busted. I submitted a map to be made public and it was made public yesterday, but still is not on the "New" list of maps.

There is definitely an issue with it.
Two new worlds of mine were uploaded recently, and went public, but they never appeared in the new list.
Old worlds I have from before the recent unity update, tend to appear in new list, despite the fact I have not updated them since.
I heard from friends that they have had similar issues too for a while now. It's definitely not fun when you worked hard on a world, only for it to not even appear in new, so no one will ever find it.
Hope this gets looked at, and fixed soon!

This is likely because of the randomization in the new category. Not sure if that should be a different canny post since I think it’s the same thing.

People also report that many of the old worlds appear under the New worlds tab
