Personally, I think you should practice uninverted Y. I've learned inverted Y for flying games and FPS games, and it wasn't that difficult. The reason is so you can increase your adaptability. You don't have to prefer it, but it's always good to be able to adapt to changes, and challenge yourself by changing control settings. Practice uninverted Y in VRChat rooms, and as long as you're not playing a combat mode for VRChat, you'll be fine.
