Player status, (and very rarely location) no longer updates in real time

Whenever a friend updates their status (changing either text or visibility), or changes to another location it no longer updates in real time in the social menu unless you click and open that user's profile in the main menu or you change locations yourself. I'm curious as to whether this is an API change because I notice a similar behaviour outside of the client in a third-party app that also relies on VRC's API.

- Play the game for some time
- Go on your friends location tab and look for friends in privat worlds.
- Check there Status before (Screenshot 1) - orange in private
- Check the Profile (Screenshot 2) - green in joinable world

This is one example of hundrets of this situations. This is a fearly common issue I'm facing in the last time.

How quickly does it update right now? In VRChat? In external apps?

Tupper - VRChat Head of Community I should reasonable expect it to update in real-time whenever someone updates their status, not only after I visit their main menu profile. Currently as it goes, I'll browse my social menu and see that someone is on orange for example, but when I bring up their profile, it'll suddenly switch them to green. This also causes issues if someone was previously on red as you wouldn't be able to send a req or inv until showing their profile, thus seeing their status update to say green.

In VRChat, like I mentioned, statuses don't really seem to update until you open someone's profile in the main menu or change locations. In VRCX it's sort of the same really. Statuses don't really seem to update at all unless I view someone's profile in the app unless I bring up their profile which makes a call to update the information. That or clicking this button in VRCX which makes a call to refresh my entire friends list social presence.

Salbug Try using Cloudflare WARP as a VPN to see if it reproduces with that on. It sounds like it could possibly be a broken websocket connection.
I've received guidance that disabling IPv6 can help, it didn't in my case, but the Cloudflare tip did solve it pretty much completely - at the cost of requiring me to route all my traffic through that VPN while I am playing or intend to play VRChat.
If this is a broken websocket connection then perhaps this could be addressed in part by VRChat improving their code to recover from broken websocket connections.
