[Feature Request] Multi-Tasking during Unity Installer download
Teeh
I'm in a hotel with abysmal internet. As a power user, It would be nice to be able to get all of my tools and repos set up while this thing downloads. I have a lot of repos to add, so this takes a not-insignificant amount of time.
There is dead space in the bar on the left that would be perfect for adding a 'Download Progress' bar that switches back to the installer dialog.

I ended up going with a manual download because of how little feedback about the download CC gives. It would be nice to see this installer treated less like "automagic".

I'm glad I did this. My download ended up getting interrupted. Using my browser I was able to resume the download, I don't know whether VCC would have managed that. It doesn't feel like it would.

Teeh The VCC has a huge problem with this because of lack of Admin Permissions. It only worked successfully in my tests when I launched VCC as Admin.
A better suggestion for this is to make the Creator Companion ALWAYS request Administration Permissions in order to automate the installation process, regardless of computer.

Sorry, what is elevating permissions here accomplishing? To me this seems like a simple UI oversight. It is simply unresponsive while the Unity Editor is downloading. It also gives very little feedback that the download is progressing.
To me it seems like the solutions for these are to accommodate user interaction with the rest of VCC while it lets Unity Hub handle downloading the requested editor versions, and providing more of the metadata to the user. There is apparently enough to display the progress bar in the first place.
