Per the release notes, ( https://docs.vrchat.com/docs/vrchat-202342p2m ), VRChat on Android is supposed to prompt to merge accounts with a VRChat.com account on first log-in using Google. However,
this currently does not seem to work
, and
the option to upgrade your account, present with Steam, Oculus/Meta, Pico, and other accounts, is missing.
This leaves Google accounts in a perpetual state of being "lesser" accounts, and removes the ability to speed up login using Google with VRChat.com accounts proper.
(Bug filed on behalf of a friend. We went through troubleshooting and testing to confirm this was not a fluke, using other Google accounts.)
Issue occurred with latest build available on the Play Store as of March 13th, 2024, 6:00 PM Central.
