I'm working on drivable cars with Udon and I've added full support for game controllers like steering wheel setups and gamepads, but I've hit a roadblock with the steering input axis due to the 10-20% dead zone that is meant for thumb sticks.
With the current configuration I'm clearing all input fields for Joy1 Axis [1-10] and then using Joy2 Axis [1-4] for throttle, brake, clutch and steering.
Everything else works fine, including the H-shifter with 6 gears and reverse, but steering is simply unusable when you have to turn the wheel 90 degrees to see any kind of response in game.
It would be really helpful to have official support for dead zone free input so 3rd party applications aren't necessary to middle man the inputs using MIDI (or OSC is the future)
My wild guess for a potential solution would be to add additional virtual input axes with no dead zone on top of the existing ones.
