HP Reverb G2 (and possibly other headsets without touch sensors) having issues with new IK 2.0 Update

The HP Reverb G2, as well as possibly any Mixed reality headset, and other non-touch sensor tracked controllers, is having a major issue with the new system. Unless a gesture is being made, the avatar defaults to hand-open. Originally the controllers could only perform gestures via button press, including using (tilting/pressing) the joysticks for the thumb tracking. The new update changes it to the buttons (ABXY) which causes issues since these buttons have functions already including mute, menu, and jump. It also changes it so that while not using any buttons, the tracking defaults to hand open. It was annoying before to perform gestures, but being stuck in hand-open mode requires me to press these buttons to use rest mode. I've attempted turning off all items related to this update, using legacy tracking, and changing all the IK 2.0 features to off, nothing fixes it. I dont want to be stuck doing the hand open gesture while i play the game. The whole point of the resting pose is for when I am not using any buttons.

Cannot stress enough how big of an issue this is! Feels like insult to injury after WMR's software was announced to be depreciated.
Menus are unusable by default & community fixes seem to not be able to fix gestures at all. Very unfortunate, it makes me realize how much I took this game's immersion for granted.

Please for the love of god, I am a reverb g2 user as well. the hand open default idle gesture or whatever is a major issue. it's making it impossible to create proper bindings for these controllers. literally.

I am having the same issue with hands open, there is also an issue with "chord" creation using the option "joystick", it does not detect joystick movement on Reverb G2.

There's currently a massive problem with the latest update causing this. HP Reverb G2 user here as well. There's an active thread in the discord about it, and some workarounds listed. Seems like the ball got dropped pretty hard here somewhere, as one of the users posted a screenshot where VRC Support essentially said "WMR is depreciated, so we'll get to it at some point."
