[1004] Performance drop when using 3.0 avatars
JCity
Ever since the new update Ive been trying to fix my avatar so it would work like it should. But now ingame everytime I use 3.0 avatars my fps drops significantly and I have no idea why.
Edit: It seems like I have a bad version of this. My avatar reduces everyones frames down to 11 while I don't feel it. But if I reset my avatar I get the same amount of frames and everyone else either gets their fps back or stays the same. It also seems like 3.0 avatars overall reduce peoples fps by 20-30 frames. I checked this by using my other 3.0 avatars which have less things on them and my friends using theirs.

Does this still happen for AV3 that have been reworked to not use write defaults?

Adeon Writer: I'm not sure if this bug still happens or not in the current build (haven't been playing recently) but yes it would happen with write defaults off as well

Adeon Writer: I had to remake my animation controller and it is now fine. I still do not know what I did to make it lag that bad though..

I haven't reuploaded my ava for some time, so mabye some weeks (so old version of av 3.0 SDK).
Sometimes, when I change active meshes on it (different clothes settings - animator states are set both to activate some and to deactivate other meshes) there is a high CHANCE game will either:
- start terribly lagging to me
- start terribly lagging to SOMEONE in the instance (random)
- start terribly lagging to everyone in the instance
- will work all fine
FPS drops without valid reason from 90 to 10-20 FPS.
It looks like animator is constantly trying to activate and deactivate some object, looping (my guess) which makes engine lag.
This was not happening before vrc update.
Not sure if that helps but using some extra animators on the meshes itself for spawn mesh effect. However, they do not cause any issue when my ava loads as a whole - no lagging is present desptite of them being active.
This is definitely game/engine fault.
Resetting avatar gets rid of the lagging. Selecting default mesh state (which ones are active by default) also helps.

Also - side thought - if this is animator looping activate - deactivate state it might be similar to what people describe here - but instead of sound source it affects mesh (another similarity - randomness):
People may not realise yet some of their ava 3.0 features have a chance to kill other peoples fps.

Same thing here. My performance and FPS drop horribly when in my main 3.0 avatar. It happened both before the new SDK update and after. Uploading with the new SDK did not fix it at all. I made a lot of optimizations to it yet it still happens. Before these recent updates, that avatar worked perfectly/ It only started causing huge frame drops after these recent updates. Other avatars seem fine. This one in particular seems bugged.

Can confirm, it seems to only happen for avatars uploaded with the new sdk. Not sure how to reproduce it yet though.
