[1937] _SenderLocalPosition(X/Y/Z) can't be used to drive AAPs
needs more information

It took me forever to figure this out. For some reason, advanced contact parameters (or at least sender local position, from testing) can't be used to drive AAPs. It's incredibly weird because contacts normally allow you to do that.
This behavior is needed so we can apply scaling using a blendtree to multiply by ScaleFactorInverse, remap values, among lots of other uses.
Here's an avatar that detects your head rotation using sender local position. Each animation moves the cube behind you and drives a
HeadAngle/
AAP. The cube moves, but those AAPs don't change. You can check in the avatar debugger. https://vrchat.com/home/avatar/avtr_ec965727-67de-45b9-9476-411a27849ed2I wonder if this has to do with the timing of contact updates...

Testing suggests these values are actually being applied as expected, but the values shown in the avatar debug UI are incorrect. An animator transition that uses a value controlled in this way still triggers despite what the avatar debug UI is showing. Please let us know if that doesn't match what you've seen.

Dexvoid Unfortunately I'm trying to use those driven values in other parts of the blendtree, and that still fails. Transitions outside of blendtrees do seem to work though. Strange

Purpzie Thank you. I've checked both direct and 1D blend trees as described in the page you've linked to, but both appear to be applying to the avatar as expected (other than the issue where the value of the animated parameter shown in the avatar debug UI is incorrect).
Please provide a full list of repro steps for what you're setting up with blend trees in the SDK (ideally in a project with no community packages in it), what you're seeing, and what you're expecting to see instead. We unfortunately can't see the animator setup of your repro avatar as animators become unreadable once they're built.
