F2 emote is on by default.
Lightstorm
When you first enter a world, the F2 emote is on by default, instead of F1, but only for others and not yourself. It is only fixed by pressing a different emote, and then pressing F1. This can cause issues like playing music that only others can hear, causing objects that are only supposed to appear when pressing F2 to appear by default, and changes your face to an unintended emote. This happens to both VR users and Desktop Users.

Shift-F2 is "Fist". We don't generally recommend putting overrides that trigger objects/particles/etc on fist, as it is an "Analog" gesture (it blends from 0 to 100 based on your trigger position). As you might expect, you can't really have an object partially enabled, or particles partially on.
This is a known issue, but with no immediate plans for a fix. Our current recommendation for a workaround is to avoid putting gestures on the "Fist" override unless it only affects finger position. Adding other animated qualities to the "Fist" override may result in a lot of strange behavior.

Which one is F2? I know that on my avatars which shoot particles on Fist, randomly on entering a world it will shoot some and then immediately stop.

There is some weird stuff going on with Fist in general. Releasing fist doesn't truly cancel the gesture either, it still seems to be roughly 10% active.

Can reproduce and has been an issue for a long time. It wont show locally, but everyone else can see what emote or gesture was suppose to go off from fist slot if user is on desktop. Had to switch to another slot as well to avoid the issue and not accidently play music on that slot.
The problem maybe that the fist slot isn't cleared when pressing F1, but is cleared when using another slot, like F3-F8 and back to F1.

This doesn't happen to me on VR but its very noticeable on desktop. i have to clear both left/right shift keys so it doesn't show emote.

arcticgamez: i have a friend who uses VR and it was on by default for him too. He was blaring music without knowing it, and had to switch the music to another emote.
