Fix for videosync/club worlds music not playing
closed

Here is a quick tutorial on how to fix it if you're a user: https://www.reddit.com/r/VRchat/comments/7wnk70/tutorial_how_to_fix_musicvideosaudio_not_playing/
For you guys (the devs) to fix it simply add "--no-check-certificate" when calling "youtube-dl.exe"
This is apparently affecting around 20 - 40% of VRChat users so please consider implementing the fix.

This issue is still affecting me, nothing I've done has fixed it, and reformatting my Hard drive isn't an option for me.

Error is still ongoing as of 4/28/18. Videos in my Home instance are not playing as well.

Had this problems since I started playing late December. I have no certificates, tried the visual studio downloads ghostdude posted, antivirus isn't blocking it, verified files on steam, etc. Not sure what is the root of the issue at this point.

I resolved the issues after formatting my hard drive and reinstalling windows again. After that all places now work.

I had this problem as well, but i seem to have fixed it.
My fix:
2.) Download both the x86 and x64 versions of Visual Studio 2017
3.) Install both
4.) You may have to restart your PC
I hoped this helped!

I tried it, however when I type google and search for certificates I get nothing in the results, whats the issue here?

Why would there even be a certificate there? Shouldn't the certificate be called from the issuing server every time?
I found this weird and searched for google certificates using the method your posted. I have no certificates issued to google on my computer at all.
Also the only place where music did not work properly for me was the void club; It took an enourmous time for it to start. But that seemed to be a problem with the world itself; I am also pretty sure they fixed that.
For me youtube does not even use a google certificate. It uses a certificate from geotrust.
So I guess the problem you guys are having is that it tries to use a certificate issued to google even though youtube AND google don't use a certificate that is issued to "google" anymore?
For reference here is someone with that issue on youtube-dl github: https://github.com/rg3/youtube-dl/issues/11573#issuecomment-269896421
