Recent increase in timeouts, disconnected, and not responding messages
Rivera․
So this has been happening for some time now, but as of recent its been a lot more often. It happens at least once every time I am in VR and sometimes several more times whereas before it was something that would only happen rarely. I'm not sure if any changes were made to the real-time networking in VRChat, but either way these happen much more often than before.
Most of the time they have no reason behind them, just completely random. I'd be talking to a friend face-to-face and then just randomly I'd get disconnected/not responding/timed out.
And today (7/5/2024 at 08:00 UTC), it pretty much showed the issue full blast constantly. (May have been an outage or something but nothing heard from the VRC team about it)
Aside from that though, I believe one of the reasons that VRChat decides to disconnect mainly is when the ISP IP lease is renewed for someone due to DHCP. It seems VRChat can't keep someone connected when they get a new lease. Maybe something can be done about this in the future?
As for everything else though, feels completely random no idea why it happens.

I have also been having this issue for 4-6 weeks. It doesnt happen every time but sometimes when I get on every 5 minutes it just disconnects me. I know its not my network, its specifically a VRChat issue.

I'm Having this to every like 20 mins or so everyone stops moving and then 30 seconds later i get the timed out message I'm really getting annoyed at it

BeroDirt Are you still having that? Been happening on my end too for a week now, the same way you described, everyone standing still for some seconds until either I get reconnected again or disconnected with the VRChat is not responding message, or just the Disconnected message. Time varies a lot for that, sometimes every 5 minutes and sometimes 10 or 20 minutes.
I already reset my internet some times, tried both wi-fi and mobile connection through my phone, but still happened the same way.
Doesn't matter what region the instance was created in either.
This is all my log registers when it happens:
2024.10.17 02:44:55 Error - Connection lost. OnStatusChanged to DisconnectByServerTimeout. Client state was: Joined. SCS v0 UDP SocketErrorCode: 0 WinSock

2024.10.17 02:44:55 Log - [Behaviour] Resetting game flow because "VRChat is not responding.": [RejoinInstance, SkipLogin]
And a pic attached of that happening that my friend took while I was asleep, ignore the pen writing lol =^=

From last month to now I'm having the same issue and its still going on as of this post. The problem have become a daily to where only 3 to 5 minutes tops connected and then the "VRChat is not responding" shows up, and its not my internet being at fault either. Have you figured this issue out, if so how?
Rivera․
ShadowRaptor I haven't found any solution for this. It still happens for me too.
According to a VRChat team member, they said this in the discord server when I asked about it. ("servers themselves have been fine, it's something causing connectivity issues with specifically the US West region realtime servers. We've been working with our partners to resolve it")
Though even other servers other than US West have the issue so idk.

"Waiting for network limits" almost exactly 60 seconds?
Rafty
Today, every time I tried to load into a world, it's taking 60 seconds on the "Connecting" screen. I checked the logs and it's always saying it's "Waiting for network limits" during that time.
Being 60 seconds every time makes me feel like I'm hitting a timeout of some sort. Does anyone know why?
I've tried reinstalling VRChat.

When I open vrchat on my oculus quest 3 I can't join my home world and it is stuck on the "connecting" part of the loading screen this problem started happening at 3am last night and has not been resolved yet I have tried reinstalling the game and have also tried turning my WiFi router off and back on I am getting frustrated and want this fixed as soon as possible

Is this the default home world? Have you tried changing your home world or launching into another world from the VRChat website off of the browser
Have you tried turning off IPV6 on either your computer or router?
Have you also tried using a VPN and then connecting to VRChat?
I recommend also making sure that your PC meets the minimum specs for VRChat and that your PC isn't treating VRChat like a background task
Check also that your wifi/internet is strong enough to play VRChat with an online speed test
And I recommend plugging into ethernet to get a more stable connection
I hope you get more help with this as I'm no expert but I hear those are things that help!
Good luck!
