Searching for maps by Title doesn't actually work
complete

I have a map called "Comfy Mini-Theater". When I search for it using title search, I have to scroll for a long time until I even see it. Maps that don't even have "Comfy" "Mini" or "Theater" in the name are in front of it. In fact, the #1 result is for Avatar Testing.

Title search is now a lot more accurate, author's world is first in results

Search function is just strange. You can search on TAGS but search on NAMES in title i have totally different answers.
Fix the search system.

in the meantime, using quotations help for specific searches
so if you include " and make it
"Comfy Mini-Theater"
your map is the only result

Unfortunately, this issue is not a simple "switch an OR to an AND". It's a deeper problem with how our search is currently architectured. We will be revisiting search over the next few months to solve this issue and make search super powerful! Sorry we couldn't solve it more quickly!

World search is OR not AND
Fionna
Until we can get a better overall search engine, can we just update the world search to return AND results, not OR? For example, searching for Cute Forest will return every world that contains Cute AND Forest, which is tons of worlds and "Cute Forest" will usually not be at the top of the results. "Lakuza Lounge" search puts the actual Lakuza Lounge far down in the results. (I mentioned this to GG at OC6, just putting down for the record.)

It is absolutely an OR search.
At the time of writing the following works: Search for "exile urhgan", it should return two worlds. "Exile (Halo 4)", and "Aht Urhgan Whitegate".
Searching for just one of these terms will only return one world.

Somewhat related- it would be nice to be able to search in both titles and tags at the same time. I only recently realized they're mutually exclusive.

Seems like the search uses OR, and it includes the description of the world. Avatar testing has "comfy" in its description so that's why it shows up.
Ideally the search should first use AND and then include other results.

DrSakuuCuddles: Agree, search should include AND / exact match result first.

DrSakuuCuddles: Also extra points if it scores items higher if the terms are in the same order as the query.
