Recently we made significant changes to our server side checks for avatars, for a few hour period of time unfortunately there was an issue which corrupted some avatars in a specific way that broke their animators. This issue was quickly fixed however those that were checked within that period need to be rechecked to work properly again.

Initially we thought this only affected a specific subset of avatars, and so we queued those up to be rechecked, however it was discovered there were more than just that subset and so we have marked all avatars uploaded during that period which could have been affected to be rechecked. This meaning the next time an affected avatar is loaded in it should be re-queued to be checked and and fixed.

An unfortunate thing though is the client currently will keep the broken version cached, to force it to redownload the fixed version you need to clear your content cache. The button to do this can be found at . Be aware a restart of the application may be needed to complete the cache clear and be aware clearing cache rarely helps fix problems, this is an exception. In a future client release we will have changes which mean this cache clearing is not needed if an issue like this ever happens again (though I hope it won't).
