Unfortunately, this is not under our control & not the result of any changes we've made or rules we've set.
This is likely a configuration change on Shadow PC's side that would affect all EAC games. Please contact Shadow for support - we cannot make changes to VRChat or our setup to fix this!

Its the only way i was able to play with out crashing every five minutes. I dont understand how u can let people on console and phone play but not people who use shadow??

Pretty upset about this i cant use vrchat at all on shadow pc now so vrchat yall need to fix this and know its not fair knowing lot of people cant afford a gaming pc right now don't ban something thats just doing good Shadow pc not doing anything bad

It's like they are trying to push away a huge portion of the player base to their competition, ChillOutVR. They may even force a number of player to seek out clients that bypass EAC just to be able to play VRC again if a fix isn't implemented from Epic Games.

Come on vr chat ive spent thousands on this pc so i can play with my friends ive had this pc for 2 yrs now i cant use it u guys are gonna loose half of the gamers who actually invested money and time into the game for me if shadow pcs arent unblocked im canceling my vrc+ and my drink night sub then my shadow pc witch rn im paying $50 just to run my fbt now i cant even do that because u took the 1 pc i had thanks alot vr chat u guys are ruining the holidays and plus i was able to play vr chat till u guys came out with that update

Due to the holidays, many members of these teams are on leave with their families, so we’ll need to be patient regarding the deployment of the fix. It’s very frustrating extremely frustrating. Like all of you here, I’m currently blocked as well, but I’m keeping an eye on things everywhere and constantly checking reliable sources for updates.

Knowhies They need to get everyone back in the offices until a fix is implemented. They're ruining our holidays, after all. No reason why their holidays shouldn't be ruined as well.

So, I was able to speak directly with an Epic Games employee on Discord. It was a very long and tedious process. The issue is indeed not coming from VRChat but from Shadow and EAC (Easy Anti-Cheat). Following an update deployed to EAC, Shadow PCs were accidentally blacklisted. It will take a few days to deploy the fix; Epic Games are already working on it. Due to understaffing caused by staff being on holiday (which is normal during this festive period), they are asking us to be patient and remain calm.

Knowhies Good, because i use shadow pc when im not at home lol. And it pissed me right off when i realised i cant plsy anymore.

Nagareboshi_ I promise that as soon as I have more detailed information, I’ll post it here. In the meantime, keep an eye on announcements from VRChat, Shadow, EAC, and Virtual Desktop as well they may also have information.

Please, you have to do something... Vrchat is the only way I can talk to My friends and partner. The only way to laugh, and I can't afford a high-performance PC, that's why I use Shadow PC. VRChat team, please do something so that Shadow PC users can play VRChat again. I beg you....

TsukiMoonligh Unfortunately, especially when it's a problem related to a change or a decision made by a large company such as Epic Games, sometimes begging is unfortunately useless.
Look at Riot, for whom Shadow has been trying for years to get Venguard authorized on Shadow... they never wanted to.
If Epic Games decides overnight to make EAC unusable on Shadow and doesn't want to make any improvements, they can.
Fortunately, reading the comments here, that doesn't seem to be the case..

What you're saying is strange because apart from VRC, other games like DBD or APEX aren't affected by this problem. There's an option in EAC to enable or disable, and I've only mentioned two games, but I can list more if needed; I just have to run the tests.

Hello Tupper, sorry for the inconvenience, but you have to understand that we are all extremely frustrated. Most of us are paying for a service, whether on Shadow or on your platforms, that we can no longer use. I don’t really know where the issue comes from; however, following your latest update and the video you released, just a few minutes after all that, access became impossible. I’m questioning whether this really comes from Epic Games (EAC) or from you, since other games launch with EAC without any issues. It’s clearly since yesterday’s update that we’ve been unable to join.
