2-Step Verification

Honestly, I love the Trust System and all personally but, it's not perfect. Today I just witnessed some person crash one of my friends over some petty drama without even using a particle system/shader(I made a report already of course.)
That being said, would it be possible to implement a two-step verification? I know the downsides and criticisms such method would receive however-- the fact that crashers are still a problem would justify implementing this.
This method although not a permanent solution, would help alleviate the issues of crashers and so forth that evade IP bans and such.
EDIT:
To add on;
A game called Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege implements this feature requiring 2-step verification in order to play ranked matches. This method is used to "flush" out toxic players from the game. I understand VRChat isn't a shooter game however, it could really help.

How does 2FA stop people from just making a new account? The new account will have a new 2FA and one can easily use an android VM like bluestacks to install the authenticator app.
Not to mention 2FA as implemented is currently OPTIONAL, I still have yet to enable it due to laziness.

2-Factor Authentication was added in a previous VRChat update. You can enable it here: https://vrchat.com/home/profile

Why don't they look for changed files in the game folder at runtime? If you altered the client you can't join the server.

While this could reduce griefers, the underlying issues is that they can even crash other users in the first place. A revision of the report system needs to be made, 'request an admin' isn't good enough. Additionally better anti-crash systems need to be implemented. That said it's much better than it used to be.

OneVoltTen: This proposal however is to tackle after they've been banned and so forth, which will rely on the current report system for the time being. That way it makes it harder for crashers and so forth to get back onto VRChat. I'd like to believe most of the crashers are script kiddies and such as well so this in hopes, should at least discourage some of them as well.

My only problem with two factor authentication is that it might make it even harder to upload avatars for other people since there is no system in place at the moment to upload for others reliably.

Scionzenos: This proposal shouldn't affect uploads at all. In deals more with, the results of being found guilty of crashing people and so forth so that when they're banned, we don't see them come back either for a while or hopefully, permanently.

Aikatsuyuri: It would effect it if you had to have two factor verification to login as that would prevent people logging in as other people in order to upload to third account. If the two factor is a one time to make an account than yeah it wouldn't.

I fully support adding 2-factor authentication, but I'm just wondering how it would prevent crashers. Most of these guys aren't even doing it through avatars anymore. They use hacked clients to disconnect people. What we really need here is the devs to actually secure their game and make it harder for these hacked clients to even get into the game.

Zaxman: It's not more of a prevention of crashers but rather, a way to deal with them once punishment has been handed out. I've read past Canny posts as well that punishment has been too lenient with crashers as well so this is more of an address to that regard as well.
