Ability to swap between old and new vive movement systems

I think it would be best for the developers to add a option in system to allow VIVE users to swap between the old and new movement and gesture settings

I hope this gets addressed soon, Controls seem unresponsive, slidey, and somehow I'm getting more motion sick with it than any VR experience I've had before. Makes me want to stop showcasing it to friends. :c

yes please. it makes it very annoying for mutes to write with the new system. also its annoying to trigger gestures because of how inprecise the vive touchpad is. the old system wasnt great but it was better than the new one.

I agree! The motion controls were great. Before high immersion low sickness!

I think this new motion should be the secondary option. Even if it works reliably on some controllers, it still gives people like me motion sickness. Might be fine for most but for sensitive types it's a loss of control that starts messing with your head.
But what puzzles me is how this is working for others. Obviously it can't be what I'm experiencing with my (vive) setup or I don't think the devs would have green lit this. I've tried for hours today, and am still dizzy from the efforts, to find a consistent method of moving short distances, or even long ones, but it feels almost random. Sometimes it keeps moving forward indefinitely, other times it stops after a bit. And if I tap it quickly, it sometimes moves a bit, othertimes indefinitely.
I know they're working on bringing back the old system for some, as it's the best navigation in vr imho, but I'm genuinely curious for whom it is working better as I'm sure it must be. Is it aimed more at Oculus? Or do some vive owners have zero issues, and it's some sort of lag thing that throws it off? My internet is genuinely very fast, but vrchat for some reason, lately, has slowed down with this ISP. So maybe that's part of the problem?

PK: I've never had any issues with my internet, my rig is well above the recommended specs and I still get the exact same issues. I also accidentally start moving whenever I'm trying to use a gesture, which unsurprisingly doesn't help with motion sickness.
The Update is meant to and I quote: "bring vive into feature equity with rift". I'm in a group with two other Vive Users and they report the exact same things as you and me. I struggle to believe that any Vive user is happy with this update.

Hug Cup: well that's actually good then, imho, because i'm sure they'll fix it for vive users, and it means that my setup isn't misbehaving. it does indicate though that the vrchat team must be be using oculus though.

I really hope they add a toggle for it soon.

Was just about to create a post about this because I feel like removing the new system seems to rash. The ability to switch will allow users to choose a preferred system of movement.
