The current camera is fine, but many people I've talked to and myself find the buttons and overall interface a little confusing and hard to press (especially from a distance). I think it would work much better if the camera was a movable user interface panel instead, utilizing the laser pointer style of menu navigation. Also moving the camera to the top of the camera (not in the center of the screen) would be great.

Camera + WMR usage is not easy, hard to point.

I am using WMR headset and i found out the (stream) camera in VRChat is not easy to control. The small buttons are hard to touch.
I discovered the default "loading" avatar has much larger fingers and i can see where i touch the button. Yes i can really touch it.
But if you use another loaded avatar, it's very possible it has another dimensions compared to default avatar design.
Then i cannot see where i am exactly pointed... It's like grabbing small pin. I am more waving in air around to hope the correct button light up.
I am thinking to add slight colored pointer beam so i can see where i am pointed at the camera. This is useful if you have non-body avatar like box which has no hands or arms. The slight colored beam will help you where you're pointed.
Grabbing selfie stick is also unclear and hard where i am pointed. So add small beam as pointer. You can bind it to button of controller to enable beam pointer.

Improvement for camera operations

It is very difficult to touch the push-buttons on the photo camera with HMD, by two-handed controller. I feel it better, that the other hand can touch one of the push-buttons, only while a hand grabs the camera. In current spec., I had grabbed the camera at a high frequency, when I try to touch the push-buttons. Or, I would like to have short-cut keys for the push-button opeartins. Thank you.

Ray cast Buttons For Selfie Camera

I'm sure everyone can agree that the current interact buttons on the selfie camera are extremely clunky and in some cases impossible to use without contorting your body into credulous positions just to reach one button.
The implementation of ray cast interaction like the current menu system would make using the camera so much easier and quicker, with a pointer people could easily point to the button they desire without having to wave their hand around hoping to hit the button.

Yes please. How the camera buttons even work is honestly still a mystery to me. Trying to get the right one is often a slow clumsy experience.
