I would like to see the existing OSC Menu to be migrated over to the Debug Menu. I believe the new framework would allow for better readability, easier debugging, and improved filtering of the display.
I believe this will solve:
  • Consistent location for debugging (one panel vs two)
  • Refresh the UI to not be a terminal experience
  • Improve user readability
  • Improve the VR and Desktop experience
  • Improve Branding consistency by adopting new debug theming/design
I would like to see:
  • Filtering/Searching of different data types depending on the context. (Int,Bool,Float)
  • Option to switch to the display to/from Graph and Table mode. Table mode only showing the current value.
  • Be able to see attached clients, port, the requests/sec, and possibly a toggle to see what endpoints they are calling.
  • See what OSC endpoints are exposed on my avatar who is altering that data.
  • Also potentially a log to mark transactions between applications.
I've attached an example of what I roughly conceptualize for this type of menu.
