Get rid of worlds from the avatar and social menus.

Adding worlds to the social and avatar menus was a bad idea. They have absolutely no reason to be there. I don't want to see avatar worlds when I'm looking for my own avatars, and I don't want to see public worlds when I'm looking for my friends. If I wanted either of those, I'd go to the worlds list. It just makes the menu more cluttered and is seemingly pointless. No, putting an advertisement for public worlds or avatars next to my friends is not going to make me visit them. The worst part is the menus have a well known memory leak due loading thumbnails. This makes the problem 10x worse. At least have the worlds in the other menus collapsed by default.

Worlds in social and avatar menu lags more and seems redundant.

I don't see any positive impact for having worlds being listed in the social and avatar tab. A lot of people like myself and many of my friends have complained about the amount of lag that occurs when caching the thumbnails for said aforementioned worlds. This is also a bit redundant because we also have the Worlds Tab where all of the avatar worlds are listed regardless and it just muddies up the experience and makes the game feel clunky. If VRChat wants to keep with the avatar worlds being in the avatar menu i feel like that is okay, but it should at least be restricted to 5 worlds instead of the already expanded tab of over 10+. The menu is enough to crash my game when in an overpopulated world, and the lag it causes makes video players stutter audio sources and its just a mess.

I agree with the friend's page, but I actually have gotten some use out of the avatar worlds on the avatar page, despite the loading problem.

Latest build has new mode in it that (as planned) only displays those worlds by default when you are a new user. After that it auto closes them but lets you open if you want. More will be apparent when 2018.3.2 is released fairly soon.
The hitching stuff should be greatly improved too. Something we've been working on for a while with the UI.

Ron Millar (CCO and Design) : this is a good solution. Thanks.

Honeslty i would rather another row for our personal avatars when we expand it. And having it fixed in general. Having to scroll through for smcertain avatars takes a long time because i have to scroll all the way to the back some times. And often ill have to refresh the list when I pull up the menu because it will start in the back. But when i hit the expand button, it will either open up at a weird spot, or dissapear all together. And often ill select and avatar and when the menu closes im a different avatar than what i picked. And apparently there are people now that cant select a veryold avatar because the list wo t let them scroll that far.

Agreed when I saw it first I thought there was a bug in the game or something.

I've always had issues previously with the already existing In Room, Friend Requests, Online, Offline and the three new Group tabs which load everyone whether they're online or offline.
Just as Jason mentioned above, my game also almost crashes as it buffers consistently for about a minute or two whenever I open my Social menu up, and that's an issue in just any world for me, but becomes a lot worse in overpopulated worlds.
I really think it was unnecessary to add the extra expanded worlds tab in the Social menu and it should be reconsidered.

Ron, you say "because new users"
Isn't this sort of why the hub existed in the first place?
Isn't this why there was a tutorial?
If a new user ignores those, then don't coddle them, that's their own fault, this is a SOCIAL game, they can more than ask the nearest hub user. (or look at those helpful tips that used to be there. despite it's issues, I think the old new hub was fairly helpful in the "helpful advice" matter)
Barring that, considering you added the VRchat home, shouldnt that be a tutorial there? Or a tip added there? Perhaps near that little avatar selection and that mirror you can't turn off?
If the new user is going to by default load into the vrchat home, stick all the relevant "new user" handholdy stuff there for the easily lost.
It just makes no sense to add such redundancy to the menus, much less make it expanded by default.
What was the point of adding the "avatar worlds" tab to the world list?
Where'd you find these focus testers? Reminds me of "square peg in round hole" valve playtesters
