Wanna bring us closer together and add some noise with scheduled events? Let's bring some organization and mojo to the boards.
Just like Discord, add a Calendar tab, and a panel to schedule events with a date/time and short description. On the front page you can show the next upcoming event to help further engage the community with your festivities.
Users can opt in to receive reminders when an event is about to happen via the present notification system.(I forget things easily!)
Nice to haves(Brownie points):
- Pick a gallery image thumbnail to be a part of the event panel.
- Add TimeZone/Location the group is primarily based on.
- Schedule, pick, and create room instance automatically when the event starts, and will have a link/button to easily join aforementioned room instance.
- Event Bulletin on Groups Tab - Feature list of events that are about to happen(From public groups).
## Permissions ##
- Add permission for a user to create an event.
- Add permission to allow a user to receive notifications.
- Add options to restrict event to specific role(s).

And make a event list from all your groups also listed in one place in UI, like japanese event calendar

Yea, if events is one of the main features of the groups, then all necessary QOL features should be present, including this concept of calendar.
Probably need separate SORTED tab in menu for all upcoming events of all joined groups. To be able to get better understanding of plans and schedule.
