Groups Instance Minimum Avatar performance
TheDefreeze
Expose avatar performance rank to the groups system. VRChat dev team is in full control of the ranks exposure to the system.
A newer ranking system can be easier implemented this way compared to exposing the rank to Udon.
Make instance, select groups, select region and minimum avatar perf.
Make joining not possible if not meeting the req, and make switching to a non-compliant avatar not possible if in the instance.

This would be great. Cant join if you are very poor, and cant switch into a very poor while in that instance.

Giving an option to limit joining the instance based on the avatar performance rank shouldn't be a big issue, given it would be enforced for every user. And it could be toggled/edited like current item/drone/print toggles in instance settings.
I'm guessing the "issue" why this is not implemented yet is whitelisting certain users within the instance to be allowed to bypass the requirement.
Nothing here is impossible to implement and by implementing this will certainly lift a massive weight of the shoulders of event hosts, not to mention client and server performance impact.
In my opinion, this should go to the top of the priority list.

100% !!! What's the difference to a mod running around asking people to change to poor or better and kicking a player if they don't comply vs. an automated system? Life could be so easy...

This is a must have! I've never understood why this ain't a feature, because the avatar rating system is already in place. I want to hang out with people and be able to have the avatars enabled. It also encourages the group to learn about avatar optimization.

Several of the most popular public-facing event groups dedicate a lot of effort, and deal with a lot of friction and confrontation when trying to implement manual performance limit enforcement. Much in the same way groups were added in the first place to fit the needs of the community, I believe expanding the capabilities for those groups to control, moderate, and regulate their own instances is a step towards a safer experience for group staff, and a more seamless experience for attendees; especially those who need the lower performance ratings to enjoy the game.

It is much more immersive to be able to show every person's avatar in large instances!
In my opinion, it will be useful to be able to specify a whitelist so that certain group staff or performers can use heavier avatars.

This would be highly useful at events, would simplify things so much for so many groups and teams!

Please.

Would be very helpful to many groups who have a large amount of people attending
