HP Reverb G2 and hand gestures
Livb
Lots of people are gonna have this headset but the controllers don't quite have hand gestures like the touch controllers. Would be nice if you could support them in some way so HP users can do hand gestures(for example, button + grip = fingerpoint or some button+grip+thumbstick combinations) or to simply add steamvr inputs for individual gestures so we can remap it ourselves https://vrchat.canny.io/feature-requests/p/index-controllers-add-steamvr-inputs-for-individual-gestures
Some possible setup:
- Grip: Fist
- Trigger: OkHand/RocknRoll
- Grip + Trigger: Thumbsup
- Grip + Button(or Thumbstick press): Fingerpoint
- Trigger + Button(or Thumbstick press): Victory
- Trigger + Grip + Button(or Thumbstick press): Handgun
- Button: OpenHand
I'd advice against thumbstick press as much as possible and go for button instead since from my experience with my touch controllers thumbstick presses will destroy your thumbstick in the long run(stick drifts and stuff)

I propose a more simple work-around in the meantime. Holding down the grip button on the Right Controller, then moving the Right Thumbstick to emulate the omitted Trackpad from the original Windows Mixed Reality controllers. I'm not sure if this could be implemented with SteamVR controller binding or not. This would be a (more) simple fix until a better, more efficient method is found.

I agree VRC should add a default SteamVR binding for Reverb G2 controllers. I just got my G2 and cannot do any hand gesture, should be a big problem for new player using the G2.
