Implement gesture toggle for Index on Oculus as well.

I don't know if this is planned or not, but I saw you have a plan to make it so you click the joystick button to disable gestures and enable finger tracking on the Index, and it would be great if you would do the same on the Rift, because even though it does not have full finger tracking, being able to toggle gestures on and off would make it a lot easier to create avatars. Right now I have lots of sounds and props that appear when I do gestures, and sometimes that can get annoying because the more I have the more easy it is to trigger them accidentally. There are work-arounds for this, like using emotes to toggle things on and off, or making an empty object that is on one gesture which has the real object or audio source as a child of it, so you have to hold two gestures to trigger it, but these are complicated to set up. It would no longer be an issue though if I could simply toggle all gestures off with the click of a button! And even though I myself plan to get an index, I do make my avatars public, so having this feature on the Rift as well would be good for everyone who's still using that and using my avatars.

If you change your controls in SteamVR, you can do this with Windows Mixed Reality headsets (and I'd guess Vive as well, but I'm not sure). I seems strange to me that this isn't already an optional binding for Oculus as well.

Can we please get this I have index but know others would want this

I would love this as well, there isn't one thing I hate more than trying to move around on Oculus and for a sound animation to start playing. I mean you can avoid this by lightly keeping your index finger on the trigger, but this gets very uncomfortable.

Oculus finger tracking is not the same for the index's, it wouldn't have the same effect, their for useless on oculus.

MinerSpark: I don't think you understood what I was requesting. With the Index controllers, VRChat will always move the fingers of your avatar to match your hand. But they're also implementing a toggle which allows you to disable gestures. That means if you have animations, sounds, or props tied to a gesture, you can prevent those from triggering by toggling gestures off. All I want is for them to implement the same feature on the Rift, so we too can toggle gesture playback on and off.

Yeah, what this guy means is making it so that you can simply disable gesture overrides on oculus, I personally think this should be a thing on all controller types, and skeletal input be used for the finger positions (or hell, I don't even care how the finger positions are done, they can be disabled with the gestures for all I care on controllers without individual finger tracking...)
