Make the muted mic icon more transparent

The muted mic icon has burned into a red patch on my Oculus Rift's screen, visible when the screen is dark. This is an issue for people like me who must frequently mute ourselves, or for mutes who do not want to turn off the HUD so that they can see notifications.
Please make the muted mic icon more transparent.

Last year, we made VRChat's microphone icon fade out after a while! This helps avoid burn-in issues. Thanks for the request!

I want a way to hide the mic UI icon individually. I want to be able to see my notifications, but I don't want to see that mic icon that doesn't really contribute anything of value most of the time. It's just there.
