Naming Room Instances

I would like to be able to create named instances of a room. For instance you have a meetup for an event but you want to use "The Great Pug" you could do so, this would enable people to better organize events. AKA people might see The Great Pug(Karaoke meetup) in the list of rooms. I have thought of making a place that specializes in language exchange for instance that would have places and locations for role playing learning purposes. But as is now I would have to create and publish for each language creating lots of work and never supporting everyone. So for instance I could have have a room Language Exchange(Japanese/English) or Language Exchange(Spanish/French) or Language Exchange(Russian Hour).

This would be a huge boon for our group, which frequently has several instances at once and ambiguity as to what is happening in each instance at a glance. We currently need to rely on external tools to communicate what's happening in each instance.

It would be even more useful if the world itself could control the name too. Such as long-game worlds having its status shown as part of the instance name or a description field.
But this is likely more useful in a dynamic description field, rather than part of the instance ID.
For example, some game or puzzle worlds have no late-joiner support. So the world would write "in progress".

I'm pretty certain I mentioned in another thread that this could be implemented relatively easily by adding an instance description field. As has been mentioned, you see 12 people in a world, 2 of your friends are there but until you enter you don't realize they are having a meeting. Even after joining you still don't know the topic. People end up hopping in and out because there is no other mechanism available.

this would also be great for movie worlds so you can see what they're watching maybe?

You also need to add a special list of instance names for the search (friends, private should be able to search if they are in the instancer's friend)
This sets up a collective event in the world,
When creating an instance such as a gathering meeting (such as TwitchCon) that looks at a specific Steram, or conducting a test meeting of an avatar, it is very useful for the participants to determine whether they want to participate.

This is a good idea. We're planning on improving Social Discovery in VRChat as a whole, and this would fall into that category.

I upvote this but it should only be used on instances that are not public. Once there was a pug instance open for like 2 days that said "Fuck you" lmao

Lucifer MStar: that's a bummer :(

Fun fact, you can kind of do this right now in an Unofficial way. Just put a word in instead of the instance number:
