Optimization to be Priority

Currently Performance has taken a huge Dive. I feel asthough you should prioritize Optimization for the duration until the game is playable for its current audience with a large range. Due to the newest Update (which included the new cameras) there has been a massive sharp cut in FPS in every single world. Some computers are unable to handle even worlds they were previously able to play on. Please focus on optimization, we do not need content, we need fixes on whatever you have done. Bug Fixes, Optimization Made on your Game, just anything that can improve playing your game and enjoying our time with our friends. PLEASE focus on this issue for now. We don't need content currently.

As Bryan stated, this was addressed in Dev Update #3. The VRChat team is aware of the performance issues since the most recent update, and have done work to improve performance. Performance improvements could be considered "In Progress" forever, but because the most recent issues were addressed directly I'm marking this as complete.

owlboy: Its all I wanted, thank you. I'll bite and say they pulled through and did something I honestly was not expecting. They have been doing their job and paying attention. This Canny.io is now I believe void due to their recent actions. Thank you, and I apologize for being so loud and upset about this.

Things to help combat performance issues would be checkboxes in the System Menu that;
-Disable dynamic bones functions(People with longer hair or skirts destroy performance, mindlessly slamming Dynamic Bones on them)
-Disable particles from Rendering(Second Life has this, don't see why not here)
-Disable Lights attached to Avatars
-A area around you(opposite to personal space) certain distances avatars stop rendering, outside, rather than inside.
Basically your Avatar Draw Distance. (A slider for meters)
-Allow blocking of specific user's avatars, to turn them to a grey avatar. Without needing Block Avatars by Default, or ex-communicating them from you.
Any of these will help immensely.
I don't even want to go to Public rooms anymore, it's getting really hard to deal with this.

Yeah, this definitely, I've had way too many experiences where my frames drop to the point where I am forced to hard reboot my rig, it gets real awkward whenever it happens during Improv, sometimes knocking out my full body tracking until I reinstall Driver4VR.

I'm in agreement with this, as priority.
Recon The Planner
As a event planner, of very popular improv nights and of course wedding planning, i could use to do weddings with easily almost 50 people without it really being an issues, it was all dependent on the avatars, and same to improv, but since with this update i have to be a lot more strict on the rosters and cut from about 50 to like lower 30's to even be functional.
My specs are as followed
cpu - intel core i7-7700k
gpu - GTX 1070 8GB
ram - 16Gb
my pc is well enough for running this game, as well as any game on the market. But when i get to hosting the higher 30's now, im experiencing frame drops like it is no others.
Then not to include that the invite bug is back to top this off with a cherry on top. I have to be praying to hopefully get everyone on the game into a world without it breaking.
Please just hear our thoughts and make this wonderful game great again for everyone to enjoy - Recon

VR Chat Devs, if you are reading this. All we want is for you to be communicative about these decisions and the work you are doing. You are leaving us out in the dark, a lot of people are unable to play like they were, there are so many bugs running rampant and many of the large scale community events are falling apart due to the fact we can't even include any of our friends. Just say something, anything about what you are planning to do for this stuff. Something your update did is causing a lot of issues for a lot of people.

yep been hardly going pass 30 fps was at 90 before the update after went downhill. heck could handle more than 30 people in the presentation room before update now it's like what 20 or somewhere pass that and it starts to lag like crazy. needs fixed badly cause people don't want to just hang out with less that that sometimes. my pc is pretty close to cyans only difference is the processor which is AMD - FX-8350 4GHz 8-Core Processor
Hope
I tend to have issues with performance once 10+ people are in a map. Voice lag in these situations are horrendous to the point that I can't even make out what anyone says.
In regards to the world optimization thing, there has to be a way they can implement optimization features into the SDK or at least more optimization warnings. For example, "This world is a small size but has way too many cycles" would be very helpful to see before I publish said world.
There's also a severe lack of world optimization tutorials. I had to search for a good amount of time before I found one that was easy for me to understand.
