Quest 2 hand tracking on PC

I've been scouting around for a way to do this without any actual implementation but every single method I can find is just some jank form of controller emulation.. Supposedly, enabling "Developer Runtime Features" (requires dev account) will actually send the hand tracking data through link.. If this is the case (and I'm pretty certain it is because I don't imagine the OpenXR Toolkit guide to be out of date by that much), would it be possible to implement the new hand tracking feature on the Quest version of the game to the Steam/PC one?

In the meantime, if you use Steam Link on your Quest 2, the hand tracking should work (I use steam link and my hand tracking activates by clicking my controllers together) . I also agree it should be fixed to work for other linking methods but its a temporary solution for you while you wait if you are willing to make the switch.

We're interested in improving how VRChat handles hand tracking on PC!
It will require some major changes to how VRChat processes input - so this request will
probably
be completed as part of a different, larger VRChat feature.Ericbazinga
Fax iirc, adding OpenXR support to VRchat would allow for not only Quest 2 hand tracking to work on PC, but also other tracking methods like Ultraleap.

Ericbazinga This would also allow support for hand tracking for all 12 of us playing VRC on Linux with Monado.
But, I'm pretty sure the route they're going will allow hand tracking with Monado + OpenComposite, and maybe for Ultraleap too, depending on how that integrates with SteamVR.
