Report User Function

No offense or anything but this game really needs a way to report specific users for their behavior. 9/10 times I've called a moderator (usually because of someone saying the N-word or calling me and others 'a faggot' and stuff like that) they've never showed up, and the 1/10 time they do show up they don't seem terribly interested in doing anything about the user, because I have to tell them their name (usually somewhere crowded where it's hard to hear) and they mod has to go hunt them down, or that user left before the moderator showed up... I know blocking users is very effective but then others are still subject to that user's abusive behavior. Having an option to report a user directly would be very nice. Just my two cents; as this game increases in popularity the number of users who join specifically to "troll" and be abusive will increase exponentially.

Direct user reporting was added in a late-2018 update.

Extensive In Game Report System
rollthered
Allow for a direct report against a player in your room. Reports could be more based on various buttons such as avatar stealing, client side hacking, and verbal harassment. This will allow for a more direct push to report users that otherwise ruin the experience of VRChat as a whole for the community.

New report system - Report with reason
OneVoltTen
The current report system 'request an admin' is slow and most users don't use it.
A new system to where users can select a user in their menu and report them with a reason would be ideal. After reporting for a specific condition - example 'crasher' it'd block their avatar.
Further integration with the trust system - adding a 'reported' user level triggered if a user isn't a friend and has been recently mass reported. This level would simply allow you to set avatar restrictions (disable avatar, voice, animations, particles).

Are you sure you're using the right client? We've had this since November. Unless you've got a modified client, I don't think we have any issues with that.

That screams for abuse. But in general I like the idea to "tag" someone as malicious so admins could follow the person invisible and see first hand what's going on.Even days later. The problem so far is simply that most hackers think nothing will happen, they wont get me anyway. But once the first of them get banned the word will spread and then they may reduce these annoying activities. And they or others should not even see that they got tagged. They get added to a list similar to the world list but not public and the guys with the most tags have to be observed for some time by an admin(only in public worlds of course). If they do what they got tagged for - ban! Maybe you could even log what they do somehow and let an AI check if there is something suspicious .If so a human should double check it. In case you find something give em what they deserve...

It is my understanding that most moderation reports require detailed descriptions and evidence concerning the infraction being reported. Ingame reporting with just a few button presses would do little to support that and would only open up another pathway for system abuse.

HardLight670: Anything can be abused. Its just how they format the system that will help avoid things like that. And plus its better than nothing. Just recently they introduced the camera system as well and that could be used to send a direct video or screenshot.
