Responsive player movement
Ostinyo
Player movement has terrible latency, which is bad for game worlds. It would be great to have a world option to use predictive, low latency movement. A realtime-focused option would allow worlds where responsive player positioning matters to be more engaging and improve gameplay.
Examples of worlds that would benefit:
- Murder, Prison Escape, Among Us, Trash Compactor, Blackout, Magic Freeze Tag, MELA, Infected, Victory of Round, Spook Em Up, Ghost, VRC Volleyball, Probability Labs, GIGAS, Magic Arena
This wouldn't need to be in sync with player IK/audio. The option would focus purely on updating player positions as quickly as possible.

I feel like the latency is very noticeable with desktop/flatscreen mode as well. The rate at which the player's look direction is updated slowly, so that if you nod really fast, it doesn't look like you're nodding as much as you are. There is also a noticeable delay before players move on the other player's end. I feel like these issues should definitely be looked into and improved by VRChat.

would be nice if this was implemented natively but there is methods to do this currently with things like ondeserialization and seats
i've already got an asset for this and could put it on github if it would be something you'd want to look at &/ or use

The character controller in general has needed an update for a long time now. It's on VRchat's roadmap but pretty low priority at the moment.

I highly recommend this suggestion!! Would make VRChat gaming leas frustrating for everyone. I often overhear many people complain in lobbies about latency issues. At least minimizing the problem would help a whole lot.
