Tagalog(TGL) and Filipino(FIL) language confusion

So like years ago I requested for Tagalog to be added in the language list because of the number of Filipinos playing VRChat during the Pandemic, and I thank you guys for adding Filipino on the language list.
However there are 2 languages added that may cause confusion among people, FIL and TGL.
I've talked to a lot of Filipinos and even Foreign Filipino friends to provide me their input.
Filipino (FIL) is what you call the language that comes from the Philippines and Tagalog (TGL) is just one of the languages that come from the Philippines.
The correct term is Filipino and the language code should be FIL
Please remove Tagalog(TGL) , Thank you.

Would it be appropriate for anyone currently using Tagalog to have it substituted for Filipino or would that be too presumptive?

Noted, thanks for the feedback! Instead of just removing, it might be better to "merge" these so users only using "TGL" will have "FIL" instead

I second this, FIL is better kept than TGL on the account of avoiding confusion and progressing the essence of the Filipino language of inclusiveness.

Thanks for the support and feedback, we can now rest easy and we can now use Filipino (FIL) and anyone who had Tagalog(TGL) have been merged to Filipino (FIL)
