[1454] Lacks the converting range indicators and the editing cursor with Japanese IME

When inputting text with Japanese IME (Input Method Editor), the app lacks the converting range indicators and the editing cursor on being converted string.
Although the build 1454 open beta fixed ESC/Enter key issue (https://feedback.vrchat.com/bug-reports/p/japanese-input-issue ), the app is still insufficient to input Japanese texts in usual operations.
I don't know, but the UI widget might be too short in height, so the indicators are just hidden.
How the conversion process should be displayed
Please see the attached images taken with Windows Notepad. The converting range indicators and the editing cursor should be like this.
- After typing the pronunciation of the text I want to input. The wavy underline indicates that is not settled (not processed by IME).
- As I start the conversion, the estimated converted text is shown. Note that there are underlines. The thick one indicates the current conversion target range (or the fragment to select the converted word). Thin line(s) indicate other parts you input and are not settled yet.
- The thick part moves as I move the current target range.
- As I widened the range, the trailing underline became wavy. This indicates that it is a fragment where the estimated (or selected) characters are canceled.
- As I enter re-editing mode, the cursor appears at the editing point inside a fragment that has not yet been selected.

Thanks for the detailed report, naqtn, it was very helpful!
I want to set expectations since this report was marked Available in Future Release. We discovered an issue on our end that was preventing underlines from displaying for the active conversion string. That part will be fixed soon.
However, we discovered that we don't get enough context through Unity to display the specific current target range or move the cursor into the string, so we can't implement those details at this time. Even the fields in the Unity Editor itself appear to work this way. To implement these features is high-effort enough that it needs to be prioritized against other work.
Hopefully having this simplified functionality will be of some help to our friends using IME.

Truce, Thank you for your work and the supportive explanations.
I understand the situation including implementing more functionalities is difficult right now because of the Unity side limitations.
I'll check the next update, and I might post again about the dropped features. But for now, that will be just a reminder for Japanese users (to calm hidden complaints ;)

I forgot to show the current problematic display of build 1454.
The first one is the appearance of selecting (converting) states, which are the same as shown by the second or third images of the original (above) post. It should have underlines or something. (This is the chatbox input field.)
The second is the re-editing state, shown in the fifth image above. The cursor should be in the middle of the text (after ああ).
