[1481] The default binding of the main menu drag is too senstive
available in future release
AirGamer
The default click activation threshold of 25 is super sensitive, and I kept accidentally dragging the menu.
I've found a click activation threshold of 95-100 felt more natural.
Alternatively, a grip binding might also work, but I didn't test that.

As of 1484, new defaults for this seem good

Default Input settings for the menu for Index Controllers needs to be changed

The option "Generate click from:" in Input settings under the menu tab in bindings needs to be set to Force otherwise it's far too easy to grab the menu with Index controllers.

[1481] Menu grabbing too sensitive with Index controllers
gummyd
The default menu grabbing sensitivity feels way too high now, with Index controllers (haven't tried other controllers). It's very easy to accidentally grab the menu, and makes keyboard/chatbox typing very hard for me in particular.
I've heard that there are settings to adjust the sensitivity, which is fine, but the default sensitivity could definitely be lowered to match more of what it feels like on Live.

Main Menu Grab Sensitivity is too high / can't be altered
Salbug
The grab sensitivity is too high, reminiscent of "light" grab mode on the old input system. Going into the SteamVR control bindings to adjust the grab and release threshold doesn't seem to affect it though.
EDIT: Further testing, this seems to only apply to the VRChat Main Menu. Updated title to reflect that.
EDIT EDIT: Okay figured it out. Disregard this canny.

Despite this being fixable, I still feel like the default is too sensitive. I still think this should be fixed rather than expecting everyone to change it themselves.

It's now controlled via SteamVR. So you need to go to SteamVR Bindings for VRChat and adjust the
grab
sensitivity for the menu
controls.BluWizard
The
main
control bindings are separate from menu
, just in case you were wondering. You need to know the difference.- mainrefers to the normal controls in Worlds. The Grab behavior here only affects pickups.
- menurefers to the VRChat Main Menu. The Grab behavior here only affects the Main Menu.
When looking at the Layers listed above, the
grab
sensitivity is controlled completely separately. Editing the Grab behavior in main
will not affect the menu
, so you need to adjust them both separately.Remember that SteamVR has an awful Bindings UI, so navigate with patience and care.
