[1814] Looks should save current avatar parameters
lackofbindings
Since we now have a looks system for saving presets for avatar accessories, it would be an excellent opportunity to extend this feature to cover the much-requested feature of saving avatar parameter presets.
As an example: Editing a look should show the avatar in it current state (instead of the default as it does now) or perhaps there should be a button to sync the state to match how it is in game. Saving the look should save all saved parameters to the look. And loading a look should restore all saved parameters to those saved values, along with the attached accessories.
This would also solve the issue of default-disabled transforms not showing up in the looks editor.
This would be a big boon especially to marketplace avatars, who currently have to implement complex animator systems to provide save slots.

God, how long I have been waiting for this. 1000 upvotes if I could.

This 100% this. Tons of people love to customize their avatars, and switch between looks. A way to make switching between configurations on the fly easier would be great. Though as other's have said, This should be an additional setting per parameter in the parameters file in the SDK as to prevent breaking certain other aspects of the avatar.

Having this be a seperate paramiter Check box on the Paramiters menu would be best!
This would stop players from breaking avatars that perhaps have systems or animations on them that "use up" a toggle or animation, else players could just reset it back to when they had it.
So having this be an extra check box here would be great and allow better control for avatar creator's avatars!

Duskstar Shine, Having it just only with all parameters that are "Saved" would likely be fine. Since those are usually the ones that matter?
I guess there will be weird exceptions, such as that weird "knife loot box" avatar prefab I have seen a few times. But those are more the exception than the rule, so something along the lines of a "Save independently of looks" options would likely nice to have for that. But it would still be a disruptive SDK change no matter how it is implemented.

This would be great for not having to make a separate save system on the avatar to save all your presets you have to save slots! <3 They take agers to set up, and if you accidently reset the avatar, BOOm, all save slots erased-
