[1912] Don't use multiple pages on the keyboard

Having multiple pages on the keyboard is a downgrade. It makes using the chatbox take longer since I have to keep swapping between the two pages to use numbers and common punctuation like an apostrophe. The old layout works better in my opinion.

Truce can it just be reverted entirely? or a toggle for the old keyboard UI? I literally cannot communicate anymore on vrchat with the beta due to my disability and because of this new keyboard layout.

Extra keyboard pages were an optimization for early phone screens where space was limited. VR is the exact opposite. We are literally surrounded by our display tech. There's no reason to optimize for space, but on the other hand, our input mechanism (laser pointer) is inferior to a phone screen, which makes toggling extra screens painful.

So, UX optimizations for a VR keyboard should be exactly opposite of a phone keyboard. It makes more sense to have a larger keyboard with more buttons to reduce flipping states as much as possible

Yeah, it was much easier when you could simply click shift to use numbers and symbols. Now the constant switching is extremely clunky.

For god's sake just replicate a normal keyboard.

Heck go one step further and replicate the user's locale keyboard.

I agree, I use numbers and dashes a lot it sucks being on a second page.

I'm okay with having multiple pages, but there are currently too many keys sacrificed for the sake of being sleek and compact. Less is not always more. Please put back the number bar, apostrophe, and colons.
