The new microphone Icon for the Desktop UI overhaul is REALLY hard to see when you are actually talking. I believe the values are the same from the original UI however due to the top right position it is now a lot less obvious when your microphone is picking up audio.
I don't want to claim a fix but an Idea I had was for the mic itself to go green or something like that to make it obvious when you are speaking.
It just needs to be much clearer, as my first reaction when seeing the UI was not knowing if my Mic was on or not.

This was filed under "Feature Request", so it wasn't picked up as "Tracked". However, the latest open-beta version should have a more pronounced visual effect for when you are speaking now. Has this addressed this issue?

The "Mic Icon Visibility" setting is broken now too, on top of being very hard to tell the difference between on/off, the icon is always on, even if its set to "On Activity" so if you thought it was hard to see, and only wanted to see it while it was active, you can't do that either...

｜KitKat｜All these UI changes have forsaken colorblind people. Such a sad state; even after asking them to keep it in mind and they agreed to.

｜KitKat｜ There is this hollow icon style in the live version of the game. This is a already active mic that is in use, but lets say this hollow icon would repressent the on mic but not in use and a fully colored mic would be a On mic that is in use.
* Hollow - mic is ON, but not in use.
* Filled - mic is ON and in use.
* Crossed - mic is off.
There are colors that are colorblind friendly and there is the color blind mode in the setting so it should still work just fine.
