if you open the textbox to type in vrchat desktop and type the letter "y" it will close out the chatbox before you are finished sending your message
Reproduction Steps
there are no workaround that we have found. it's kinda stupid that workarounds needs a hundred characters too, especially if you haven't found a workaround.

The chat input window discriminates against y.

Description
Pressing the 'Y' key while typing closes the chat window.
In other words, you cannot type words containing the letter 'y' while chatting.
Reproduction Steps
Try typing a message after pressing the 'Y' key. It closes again the moment you press 'Y'. I guess it shouldn't accept Y key input when the chat window is open. : (

When I pressing 'Y' while chatting, chat UI toggles off. It means every users play this build cannot type 'Y' without copy & paste.
Reproduction Steps
Press 'Y' while chatting. This causes chatting UI off. Type 'Y' in other field and copy & paste it to chat field for type 'Y' in chat.

Bug Causing the Chat Box to Close Unexpectedly

Description
A serious and highly disruptive bug is occurring that forcibly closes the chat box.
The chat box is opened by pressing the Y key, but if the Y key is pressed while typing, the chat box is forcibly closed even though text is still being entered.
As a result, it is currently impossible to communicate properly through text chat.
This bug is extremely problematic and is preventing normal text-based communication.
Reproduction Steps
Pressing the **Y key on the keyboard while typing in the chat box will always forcibly close the chat box, regardless of the situation.
