2018.3.2 [Build 854] [BUG] FBT Problems
complete
Classwork
So, I'm pretty sure this is a big problem here. When in fullbody, and you lay down, the Chest seems to follow the head way too much. I believe this comes with having the "Neckfix" and maybe having the spinebone=0. Even models without the "Neckfix" still have the same problem. Even models that are not FBT ready are also having problems. The normal avatars also have this problem too. I'm not sure what might have caused this, but I predict that they modified the weight painting from the chest to the headset when we lay down, but it looks like it's not working as it's intended.
A prediction was made here where I put my hand in the middle of my chest IRL, and move my head side to side, and it seems that the chest "moves" itself. ( https://gyazo.com/8c8f3c729f85119948aba3744ec75365 )

Spine bending has been greatly improved. It is a bit of a balancing act-- if you tune it too much one way, you get X problem. Tune it too much the other, you get Y problem. A bit simplified, but that's what we're working with.
We'll continue looking at this.

So, there's a big different here between the Live version and the Beta version that I ran this test under. The red model is in the Beta version. And the white one is in the Live version. Both are doing the same test in desktop mode, and it seems the Chest Bone is paired with the Head bone.

All avatars will be broken after this update when using FBT and laying down. All avatars have this issue.
ElfMom
Yeah when I look straight down, my chest collapses into my abdomen.
Of course however, with full disclosure, I also use Cats, which deletes the upper chest bone if there is one. So the dev for that is gonna have to see about tweaking cats to account for the upper chest probably. At the very least, the viewball stays where it is supposed to though, so I'm not really too mad, tbh.

Its more obvious from the side, though that said the models I have with the FBT Neckfix makes the problem looks less obvious as the neck follows the chest but it still has a broken back.

The issue is at its worst when laying on your back with your head level with the ground facing upwards in my experience.

i think the chest is trying to obey my head causing it to collapse on the spine looking down or tilting my head left n right. maybe the reason laying down is strange?

Couple of examples of the same thing hapenning with different rigs: the avatar testing rig and my regular avatar. My avatar doesnt have any "neck" fixes or anything like that, still get the issue which is amplified if you accidentally calibrate below or above your actual view position. but even when calibrated seemingly perfectly (which is hard to tell sometimes, as you have no in-game indication and you can only remember) the effect is less pronounced, but still noticeable (the spine still turns in a weird way with the head movement).
Very bad calibration (avatar not my proportions) and a quick and dirty calibration on a almost perfectly-proportioned avatar: https://streamable.com/nymtf
Better calibration on an almost perfectly-proportioned avatar: https://streamable.com/dtf4z
If we could see like a red orb where our viewing position is btw - that would help calibrating better.

or they can just compare the winter/spring version of 2018s IK ? the head position wasent fixed but the chest/spine was fine
