Different World Versions Loaded in Open Beta vs. Live Version
in progress
たに(tani_ka)
When joining VRChat using the Open Beta, the world version loaded is different from the one loaded when using the non-beta (live) version of VRChat.
Specifically, the non-beta version correctly loads the latest version of the world, while the Open Beta client loads an older version.
Despite this mismatch, both beta and non-beta users can coexist in the same instance, but what each user sees differs depending on the client version.
Notably, avatar appearances seem unaffected and are consistent across both versions.
Steps to reproduce:
- Open VRChat using the Open Beta version.
- Join the following world "カフェ・オリビア" (any instance type is fine):

Going to note the issue here is that the affected worlds metadata is in a weird state which in previous client versions was hidden due to a client bug. In 2025.3.1 that bug was fixed exposing the issue.
As _tau_ has mentioned we're working on fixing this issue server side.

This issue is still happening now that the beta went live. The world i linked before still doesn't show the correct version but instead an older one without some of the newer additions like lights around the pool, a jacuzzi, beer pong game and coffee prefabs.

Not sure if this is the same issue, or if certain items and objects just dont load because of world processing? But in this world the Jacuzzi outside and coffee system objects are just not in the world.

The world name and URL are just examples, and this issue is not limited to this particular world.
My friends have reported similar issues in other worlds.

_tau_ My world has this issue:
Since the update, my world is suddenly a really old version of my world from before it was even finished. Pics attached are how it looks now vs how it looked a couple days ago before the vrc update.
