[3.8.0] Revert new "Copyright Ownership Agreement" to how it was before, as a checkbox
available in future release
Rivera․
This is kinda weird, but basically its kinda annoying because usually when I upload an avatar I hit the check box and click upload and when it's done, its done. It's been like that forever and it's pretty much just muscle memory.
But now the checkbox in the beginning is gone and now it comes up as the "copyright ownership agreement" at the end of compiling, where you have to click "ok" before it actually uploads to vrc.
I think this change should be reverted or have this agreement come up at the beginning instead of at the end.

The copyright ownership confirmation modal has been moved to appear right after clicking "Build & Publish"

orels Thank you :3

Yeah sorry guys, but I agree that this is a pretty big UX failure best symbolised by 山の豚_BUTA's post. Look forward to seeing it adjusted so all user-input phases are together, not separated.

Thank you! I was about to make a canny post for this same reason, it's very common to hit upload on content, and then leave it processing in the background. After all, depending on the content it can take a bit sometimes. It's incredibly frustrating to leave and come back, only to see that it didnt actually finish because the popup for copyright popped up.
because it doesn't always pop up either. Why in the world was this changed from a checkbox? legally, it has about the same binding power, as long as it's there at all. This just seems like a change for the sake of making it more in your face. Which is fine, but perhaps put the pop up at the
start
of the process, instead of the very end.Malic
Super annoying to have to babysit the process for a second confirmation because we already clicked a check box
山の豚_BUTA
I believe the copyright confirmation should be completed before the building process. Otherwise, it’s very easy to forget to click confirm while doing other tasks.

This also broke existing batch uploading tools.

ZenithVal "Continuous Avatar Uploader 0.3.7" has fixed it.

Bruh I thought I was going crazy. I hit upload, went and walked my dog, came back and hopped on VR and was so confused by my avatar wasn't fixed so I went back into unity just to see it sitting there on that screen still. Why isn't that at the start before you hit upload at least?

Just fine change imo, but it would be much better to put the button before clicking the button to build & publish. Seems like the most logical order, and means I can make my coffee while my cool projects are being uploaded.

I agree, but if it stays in, it should be RE-EVALUATED! I tend to hit “Upload” and go grab a cup of coffee, expecting to get back with the Avatar/World upload fully finished (especially Worlds because that takes much longer than Avatars). It is unacceptible that I have to babysit the SDK when uploading now… It’s just like the old days where we had to babysit Unity and wait until it enters Play Mode in order to finalize the upload.
The user should AT LEAST be notified BEFORE the Uploading process actually begins!

This is exactly my use-case. Push button, do other things, discover it never finished because I have to push
another
button halfway through.Load More
