First of all, kudos to VRC for adding messages to the loading screen for those who are struggling with mental health issues. I think that that this is something that is very beneficial to a significant number of VRC users.
That said, it is no secret that there is a big problem of alcoholism within VRC. For many people, it has gone from a couple of drinks with friends on the weekend during covid to full blown alcoholism on this platform. They put their headset on, join an instance, and drink until they either fall asleep or run out of something to drink.
I had a friend who's vice unfortunately, was to put on his headset, grab a bottle, and party every night on a platform that was very convenient to do so. He was told that his liver was failing, but this didn't stop him. Unfortunately he passed away earlier this summer.
This is the only friend on my friends list who I know that this happened too, but I am sure there are more, and I'm sure some of you have lost someone you met on VRC due to this as well.
What I am suggesting is a message similar to the one for those in crisis, but also for those who may have fallen into this pattern. If it is possible to target these messages to specific geographic regions, there are secular support lines that those dealing with this can reach out too.
Thank you for your time reading this.
