Display upcoming events on the home page instead of random events currently live on the platform

Almost every time I open up the website, I'm advertised somebody's birthday party, or a meetup, or something hosted by a group I am not a part of, have no mutuals with, etc.
It's very weird for the first thing I see in "your events" to be something like a birthday party for somebody I don't know and have never met or an advertisement for a nude meetup for a group I have never interacted with.
I'm in groups with upcoming events! Why am I not seeing those?

The Avatar Search World Balancer is permanently on the front page because it's a daily recurring event from a large group (33,470 members) with only a few users in the instance in the same world daily at any time. I consider it effectively as spam advert for a regular group public instance now, not as any real event.
The issue is exacerbated that blocking groups does not remove the visibility of upcoming events from these groups.
