Avatar Marketplace

As a Quest standalone user, you are able to buy avatars that aren't Quest/Android compatible off the avatar marketplace. This should probably be prevented or at least give some WAY better indicators! Already had one user on the VRChat Discord server's Community Support forum say they did this without realizing it wasn't compatible. I opened up VRChat on my Android phone, and immediately was able to find an avatar on the Avatar Marketplace that isn't Quest/Android compatible.

The Explore section of the Avatars tab remains uncleared/unread, when browsing other sections such as My Avatars, or My Current Avatar.

The "Try Avatar" button on the avatar detail view is disabled if it is shown via another user's "View avatar details" (QM) or "Avatar Details" (MM) button and if the user disables "Allow Avatar Cloning." Even in this case, it is possible to try the Avatar by finding the avatar from the Avatar Marketplace list (or hopping avatar using "More From This Creator": open other and go back to the one). So it is meaningless to refer to the cloning switch (I guess this is just a bug, but I comment just in case). (video: https://x.com/naqtn/status/1925471655956255155 )

Avatars with long creator name are missing its name on avatar explore tab. I discovered this issue on "VRC合法チート研究会" in Japanese UI. The same problem happend on Simple/Traditional Chinese, Korean, German, and French.

Only happens occasionally, but is only a mild nitpick

The details pain has some differences which depend on where you enter the pane. These include from what I can find at a quick glance: Different scroll bar position Avatar preview background Font colour of download size and upload date Back button

There should be a New category in the Marketplace so users can quickly find the newest avatars. Filter options could include the past 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month.

My opinion is that the change into avatar / Try avatar button deserves more space than right now since I would personally guess that it's used more than the details button. In my dream world the details and change/test button would change place.

Avatars that are unavailable can't be removed from your favorite avatars list. Also, it seems that the UI behaves differently depending on if the avatar was privated or deleted.

In the respin of the avatar menu the compact menu option has been removed. It's still available for the world menu, however. The compact menu is crucial for us with many uploaded avatars, at least as long as we lack a proper search feature. Please do not remove it. First two screenshots are open beta, last two are stable. P.S. Another, albeit very minor, regression is that I can no longer tell how many avatars are in my "Uploaded" category on the side tab. It's also no longer possible to switch avatar category/folder when using the 4 columns/row mode when collapsing the left-hand side bar.
