This is a feature that might be implemented in the distant future, but it could still be useful for users without Unity or an understanding of Unity, and it could benefit artists, commissioners, and even VRChat staff. Here's how the option would be used. Prerequisites: VRChat account, VRC+, a texture PNG file, and a purchased avatar Step 1: Login to vrchat.com with your account to access the homepage. Step 2: Click on the Inventory tab. Step 3: Go to the Textures tab, which will be next to the Items tab. Do NOT use the Emoji or Sticker tab, as those can be shared. Step 4: Follow steps to upload the texture file. Make sure it is a PNG that is 1024 x1024 pixels or less. Step 5: Enter VRChat and go to the Explore option Avatars menu. Step 6: Look for your purchased avatar and select Details. Step 7: Scroll down the Details menu until you see Materials. Step 8: Select the desired texture slot (Often BaseColor), and click on the uploaded texture. Step 9: Wait a few minutes for the avatar to update on Windows, Android, and iOS sides. Step 10: Once avatar is updated, click Change into Avatar, and enjoy your newly textured avatar! Disclaimer: Avatars should also have the option to opt out of custom texturing if they desire.
