An official/supported way to do this would be much better than the workarounds already implemented on some maps.

Info about the general mood / mindset of players that can be quickly set, which should make conversations and friend Invites easier. My general/rough idea in the picture.

Just thought it could be a idea that a SDK option to turn off nameplates. this could just be a area that it hides it so that people are not as visible in certain worlds

My friend is color blind and has a hard time telling green and yellow nameplates apart, as well as blue and purple. It would be nice if there were options for color blind people, or the option to customize rank colors in general.

While I'm a fan of the new UI for the nameplates, the use of Icons for nameplates are distracting and unnecessary in my opinion, especially when you have an actual avatar to represent yourself. Please allow us to disable icons, but keep nameplates.

My choices to HUD on/off or nameplates on/off should not reset every time I start vrchat or join a new world. It's annoying. I want those options to only change when I decide to do that.

The option to hide the nameplates of your friends and only show the nameplates of none friends as an alternative to hiding all nameplates or showing all nameplates. Nameplates can ruin the immersion and can even be uncomfortable to look at in dark worlds but hiding them makes it hard to recognise people especially if it's someone you don't know. This option would be especially helpful if you hang out with a group of friends in a Friends+ or less popular Public world as unknown users can join any time.

Currently, the compact nameplates option ("icons only") is completely useless because it shortens everyone's name to "ale", "bro", "yan", "ALu", "W h" and so on, except for the one or two VRC+ users in the lobby who instead have pictures of their own avatar that you can already see if you look down. Being assigned the name "ale" and only being able to change it to an icon if I pay $10/mo makes me feel like I'm being dehumanized. As a solution, I suggest adding an option where all users can choose their own alias of up to 5 characters or so, and show that when the "icons only" mode is enabled. For aliases longer than 3 characters, a more compact font could be used to make the name fit without having to expand the nametag too much.

It would be alot easier to get Role play groups and maybe a community started if we could show that we are Rping in public worlds.

I strongly believe the chatbox's "above" setting to display chats above someone's head should display above their nameplate instead of below it. In its current state, the chatbox can be completely occluded by tall hair, big ears, hats, or even the user's own head if the avatar is tall enough. If the chatbox was located above the user's nameplate rather than below, it would immensely reduce the situations where chat messages are difficult to read without space-dragging down so people can read it. To clarify before anyone suggests using the "in front" option to mitigate this, I strongly disagree. It is not a good solution. It's arguably more difficult to read in even more situations, and I'd honestly prefer if it weren't even an option. I run into people who have it set to "in front" because they think it makes more sense but can't read what I'm saying because I'm sitting/lying down or in a small/wide avatar.
