Open Beta

A simplified version of the keyboard input field has been added in Build 1511. This simplified input field is the default display on mobile, desktop, and Pico platforms. In mechanisms that involve copy and paste functions, such as entering URLs for videos or images, outputting world save data or generated content to the InputField, and copying them, the copy and paste buttons are extremely important. I believe that the absence of these buttons in the default display significantly reduces usability. I have my default photo resolution set to 4k (3840x2160). I have this set both in config.json and in the camera's option menu. Since 1515 came out, photos I take default to being 1920x1080, even though the in-game camera menu still shows it's set to 4k resolution. Setting the resolution to something else in game and than setting it back to 4k corrects the issue for that session, but it then goes back to outputting 1920x1080 the next time the game is restarted. Removing the resolution configuration from config.json appears to have no impact on this.

Never done this before so bear with me. Create a Canvas, set it to world space. Add VRC UI Shape, and a box collider with 'Is Trigger' set to true. Change the layer to something players can collide with. In game, walk on it as if it were a platform. This also happens in my world Terrors of Nowhere where you collide with the game's UI.

On the newest Open Beta, Physbones that are children of other bones affected by Physbone components jitter horribly, even if the child bones are marked as excluded in the parent's Physbone component. The first gif attached is how this looks on live, and the second gif shows how Physbones that did not jitter before now do so on the beta branch. This avatar uses several Physbone parameters to drive animations keeping the lowerbody of the avatar upright. Since one of these Physbones is located on the hind hips, the tail is a child of that Physbone. Even though it is excluded in the hind hips Physbone, notice how the tail still jitters horribly in the beta. When teleporting users in the world gimmick, the behavior is strange, and they frequently do not teleport or are sent to other coordinates.

There is join button for people in the same instance. Whether friend or not does not affect this bug.

Stickers appear to render at a render queue higher than avatars can render at, which means that they'll render over any (ZWrite off) transparency, and/or overlay HUDs. This screenshot shows an example of a sticker (showing a unity inspector) rendering over my avatar's face camera, which renders with ZWrite off at render queue 5000 (Overlay+1000). Please move these to a more reasonable render queue such as AlphaTest (2450) or Transparent (3000).

I noticed in the newest open-beta that the zooming feature in the camera now snaps into position instead of smoothly interpolating. I use the smooth zooming immensely for recording purposes as it adds much more character to my shots, having it snap completely removes that. I do think snap zooming can be useful, so it might be cool if smooth zooming could be added back in when you select "smooth" under behavioral settings.

I have a really old 8k picture of a stick man uploaded to my VRChat gallery. During one of the updates to this game, VRChat limited the maximum download size that the client can use for a picture. Because of this, if I try to view this image in-game with the gallery, it just throws a "No Image Found" at me, and I can't see it unless I look at the preview of that picture in the menu. However, I still have the option to create emojis and stickers with that image. If I decided that I wanted to use that image as an emoji or a sticker, then click one of those buttons to make them, the client doesn't show the emoji/sticker creation UI and, shortly after I click it, crashes the game. This bug probably isn't all that important, but I thought I'd post it anyway because its funny. I used to use that image to create ""Real"" "No Image Found" emojis, lol.
